| Who is Cynthia Merrill? Cynthia Merrill has been a resident of Fresno, California since 1970. (Link to Education)In June of 2007, she was awarded the Central California "Hall of Fame Award" for Excellence in Business and in November of 2005, she was recognized as one of Fresno's, "Top Ten Business Professional Women of the Year". In June of 2007, she received, from the internationally known Gloria Starr, of "Global Success Strategies, LLC", certification as an image consultant and social and business etiquette trainer. Cynthia has been teaching etiquette in Fresno since 1981, both in her private workshops and through her Cotillion program (ballroom dance and manners for children). She is a public speaker and one of her recent projects is as a lecturer at the Central California Women's Conference, held each September in Fresno. At this conference, she teaches workshops in both social and business etiquette. Cynthia, also, works with corporations and businesses on improving their employee's image impact, visual presence, maximizing their communication skills and etiquette and improving their level of performance. Cynthia Merrill is the founder of the Cynthia Merrill School of Performing Arts and was the school's artistic director from 1970 until March of 2006. At that time, she sold the school and formed a new company called Cynthia Merrill Projects. Under the umbrella of this organization, Cynthia teaches and directs the Cynthia Merrill, Fresno/Clovis Cotillion, a program of social and contemporary dance, which includes etiquette training along with ballroom dance training for youth. She, also, gives etiquette/ tea parties for children and teens age four to eighteen. Since 1970, Cynthia Merrill has been teaching in the San Joaquin Valley public and private schools, (from kindergarten through the university level), classes in etiquette, ballroom dancing and creative dance. She is available to teach staff as well as the children. She has been hired by 65 schools to present programs as part of their curriculum and continues this program on a regular basis.
